With Permission to Trespass, the gates will be unlocked and you have exclusive access to farms, off-limit areas and various events that celebrate local stories, culture, and food for the month of June.
Events include Moonlight Stories a light show projection on Table Cape which offers the audience an incredible visual and auditory journey through a projected artwork on Table Cape Lighthouse by talented Aboriginal artist Caleb Nichols Mansell.
Other events boast long table dinners where guests can savour a unique dining experience among friends, distillery doors open with a seat at the distiller's bench, educational workshops with experts in their respective fields, and tours of farm gates being open for those who want an intimate understanding of place and people .

Bay of Fires Winter Arts Festival

A winter arts festival held over the June long weekend in the north east region of Tasmania. The premier attraction is the annual Bay of Fires Art Prize. Some 30 odd finalists are selected by world renowned judges for the Gala Opening of the Exhibition on Friday night. Have a front row seat when the winner of $20,000 is announced. The exhibition is open to the public until 15th June.

Hobart Dark Mofo Winter Feast

Dark Mofo will present the Winter Feast across two weeks at Princes Wharf 1 (PW1), from Thursday 13–Sunday 16 June and Thursday 20–Sunday 23 June, showcasing the best of the best Tasmanian food, wine and spirits.
Huddle by the warm winter fires, under our deserted Tasmanian sky and enjoy the bounty from last harvest. 75 stallholders will provide the best of local produce, alongside a nightly program of music and performance, as we collectively dream of the birds returning in spring.
Guest Chef Vaughan Mabee (Amisfield, NZ) will collaborate with Mona’s Vince Trim to bring a menu of mad genius to life in a custom-built outdoor pavilion. The duo will dish up fire-roasted feral deer, abalone liver, deer blood caramel and more, each night of the Feast.

Dark Mofo presents Winter 2024

Dark Mofo will present the Winter Feast across two weeks at Princes Wharf 1 (PW1), from Thursday 13–Sunday 16 June and Thursday 20–Sunday 23 June, showcasing the best of the best Tasmanian food, wine and spirits, alongside a surprise international guest chef, yet to be announced.
The Nude Solstice Swim has an increased capacity for 2024 and will again take place at Long Beach at sunrise on Friday 21 June, welcoming back the light after the longest night.
Night Shift—a highlight of Dark Mofo 2021—will return to present two nights of dark, dank, dancefloor debauchery, well into the early hours on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 June.
Filling the art-shaped hole left in our midwinter revelry, the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) will open a new exhibition, Namedropping, where Mona’s curators zero in on status and the human pursuit—often fast and ferocious—of looking good in the eyes of others.
Namedropping will open with a lavish Gala at Mona on Friday 14 June. Historically invitation-only, this year will be different, with a limited number of tickets will be made available for purchase.

The Big Sing Bonfire, where it all began, remains a vital part of the Festival, symbolising the joy and vitality of singing together. The program includes various music styles, including choral, contemporary, and cabaret, attracting music lovers worldwide.
